Motorcycles and scooters and similar from a distance, but there are significant differences.

Fro starter, motorcycles have bigger and more powerful engines from the get-go.

But the particular thing that separates a scooter from a motorbike is the riding position.

One can plant his feet on the frame of the scooter.

Even if there is some motorcycle who also got this characteristic they are the exception.
